Year 7 Camp
Each year our Year 7 students go to camp in the second week of Term One. Camp is an important and fun way of getting to know each other. It is also a good opportunity for teachers, especially Homeroom Teachers to observe students' leadership qualities, personal strengths and levels of participation. This allows teachers an insight into the personalities of their new charges.

The 2006 venue is Camp Rumbug in Foster. This location provide great accommodation, lots of food (3 meals a day plus snacks) and heaps of things to do. Activities include: flying fox, rope course, archery, canoeing, walks, and team building skills.

On the last evening we have a Liturgy followed by a concert. We leave the campsite on Friday afternoon. A great time is had by both students and staff who have formed new friendships and old friendships are renewed or strengthened.

The Camp is a three-day, two-night experience which focuses on taking students out of their comfort zones to work together in an outdoor environment. The students are required to camp in the outdoors and participate in many challenging activities. The students are divided into small groups (11-14) and are accompanied by a teacher and a qualified Outdoor instructor.

Activities include:

  • Abseiling
  • Bush walking
  • Cooking their own meals
  • Orienteering
